The book's first tight statement of the grievance the entire insurgency runs on, and it is deadpan-exact: experialism dressed as a "gift" or "return," the territory rebranded "Reconfigured," the whole coerced transfer smuggled under the vocabulary of O.N.A.N. alliance — and the injury it inflicts is to "sovereignty, honor, and hygiene," the last word quietly making waste-politics the real wound. Every later A.F.R. war aim is a gloss on this sentence's scare-quotes.
