Troy NY dies twice — first in the territory, bombarded by miscalibrated Waste Displacement Vehicles, then again on paper, "eliminated by O.N.A.N. cartographers" — and then the archivists' Note quietly erases the film itself into several different appellations: city, map-entry, and catalogue-entry all deleted in turn.
