The Eschaton debacle (p. 340)
O. P. Lord attempts to rule that Ingersoll is no longer on the four courts of Eschaton’s earth-map and so isn’t even theoretically a valid target-area. It doesn’t matter.
Context
Ingersoll has fled the courts entirely, and God makes his last ruling: off the map, the boy isn't even theoretically a target. "It doesn't matter" — two words, the map's authority annihilated. Once the territory (real rage, real bodies) reasserts itself, rulings about the representation bind no one.
