Low-Bavarian for something like ‘wandering alone in blasted disorienting territory beyond all charted limits and orienting markers,’ supposedly.
Context
The entire endnote: the narrator's shrugging gloss ("supposedly") of Schtitt's Verstiegenheit, from the Schtitt-and-Mario walk where Schtitt mourns a world with nothing to contain and give the meaning. Weak on its own — but it renders Schtitt's whole borders-and-limits metaphysics in explicitly cartographic vocabulary: the unbounded self as a wanderer off the edge of the charted map.
