Context
The samizdat's official record, and it's nearly empty: cast "'Madame Psychosis'; no other definitive data." Even the gauge is hearsay reconstructed from criticism, and the one technical descriptor that survives is optics — "radical experiments in viewers' optical perspective and context," the auto-wobble neonatal lens (178) as an archivist's rumor. The Master "destroyed or vaulted sui testator" is the archival version of n160's interment-with-the-body and the premise of 098's whole Master/Read-Only census. The only reviews of the lethal film — "extraordinary," "far and away [James O. Incandenza's] most entertaining and compelling work" — arrive as endnote-footnotes citing Cartridge Quarterly East: the deadliest object in the book, known entirely through its paper trail.
