Context
Notkin's bathroom door is a shrine of film stills, and pinned among Kinski and Léaud is Joelle's own scholarship — she locks herself in to die facing the offprint of her one published film-theory monograph. The P.G.O.A.T. was a theorist too, and the room knows it.
