Context
This is the theme's geopolitical thesis in a single clause: the United States is a nation that can be destroyed by a pleasure because it has lost the capacity to refuse one. The AFR's entire strategy rests on it — disseminate the Entertainment and America will do the rest to itself, "struck down by its own inability to say 'Non' to fatal pleasures." It converts the choosing-your-master problem into a weapon: a people trained to take every available pleasure has forfeited the "Non" that would save it, so the cartridge doesn't need to conquer anyone, it only needs to be offered to a population that can no longer decline. The lethality is in the appetite, not the object.
