E.T.A. dream-pedagogy in four imperatives, from Hal's voice-over for Mario's contest cartridge: rough dreams are institutional, expected, part of the curriculum — and the flashlight instruction quietly canonizes the face-in-the-floor ritual (019) as standard-issue equipment for every E.T.A. child.
