Context
Joelle watching the Ecstasy-flushed girl dancing at her own reflection. The reflexive taxonomy is the tell: U.H.I.D. membership is legible as a bearing, a way of carrying shame in the body, and Joelle audits strangers by it the way other people read accents. Shamelessness before a mirror is the disqualifier.
