Inside Himself's shocksploitation lampoon Blood Sister: One Tough Nun: a burn-scarred, cocaine-addicted girl whose ruined face writhes only when she thinks no one's looking — facial damage plus concealment-management, inside a JOI film. Carlisle identifies the actress as Marla-Dean Chumm and reads the character proleptically — filmed before Joelle worked with Jim, yet with "much in common with present-day Joelle," the film anticipating the woman.
