The Entertainment, offered hypothetically to a suicidally depressed woman as the end of pain — terminal pleasure pitched in the scene's own cage vocabulary. Kate's answers dodge, and the scene ends on Marathe's unanswered 'Yes?' — for someone inside It, the samizdat is just the burning window with better marketing.
