The mundane plumbing of surveillance and admission: Ennet piggybacks its residents' urines onto the methadone clinic's E.M.I.T.-mill batch for free, and in return the clinic funnels methadone-quitters to Pat, who bumps them up the Interview list — Calvin T. and Danielle S. both got in this way. The recovery network's back-office favors, urine and admissions traded through a side door.
