Context
The recovering man's resistance to his own recovery, half-joking and entirely sincere: told by the program that More Will Be Revealed, Ewell gets the buried third-grade perfidy back in a night-sweat dream and wants to file a grievance. It is the honest counter-testimony the doctrine rarely hears — that the excavation of the past is not always felt as healing, that surrender includes being handed things you would much rather have left down in the dark.
