A negative thing about opting for recovery in NA instead of AA is availability and location of meetings. In other words fewer NA meetings.
Context
The recovery infrastructure's fine grain: NA has fewer meetings than AA, and the North Cambridge group runs late on Saturday on purpose — timed against the "Saturday-night jones" that grips drug addicts weekly, Saturday still the mythic Party-Night even for people who long ago lost the ability to do anything but party around the clock. The scheduling is doctrine made logistical, the fellowship building its calendar around the specific hour the disease bites hardest.
