Relapse so predictable it has architecture: a boarded-up Unit across the street that residents slip into to use and then apply the same Visine-and-breath-mint cover Hal carries up the hill, racing to beat curfew. The recovery world's map includes a designated room for its own failure — the secret using and its concealment kit reproduced exactly, one institution down from the campus.
