Windows & faces against glass

Foreheads on panes and faces pressed into glass recur as the image of a self caught, framed, and watched. Tavis's forehead goes against the window; Lucien's "face's transparent image fills the glass," a head captured by glass and rhymed with a monitor-head. The pane keeps replaying the family's wounds and framings — Orin's forehead on the Delta-gate window as "the mold story replayed," Jim and Mario's camera-frame hands through a deck door, Mario passing Joelle's lit window, Mrs. Waite's "face up against the smeared garage window." The motif tightens toward the end with Stice's forehead frozen to the window and, finally, Orin's face "pressed flat to glass," steam wiped from it and rhymed with an earlier steamed window and steamed mirror. Glass here is a threshold that both displays and traps — the face becomes an image of itself the moment it meets the pane.
