Endnote 316 — James's carsick dread coming home

A memory of the Incandenzas collecting Mario and Himself from the airport after filming trips: James arrives pasty and clicking with little pill bottles, and Mario's uncle keeps up such an "Opheliac mad monologue" (p. 1062) of chatter that Himself grinds his teeth until he has to be sick in the breakdown lane, throwing up "white dental visible grit" worn off by the grinding.
