Endnote 291 — Why the House steers residents away from CA

Cocaine Anonymous has shrunk back into a splinter of Narcotics Anonymous. Pat Montesian and the Ennet House Staff don't forbid a resident an occasional CA meeting but urge them to make AA or NA their primary fellowship, because the substance-specific splinters have far fewer meetings and narrow recovery down to abstaining from one drug instead of pursuing whole sobriety and "a new spiritual way of life in toto."
