A technical note on the film's central sequence: the Medusa-v.-Odalisque play-within-the-film can be analyzed as a series of "Fast Fourier Transforms" (p. 1036), though the meaning of "ALGOL" (p. 1036) stumps everyone — possibly a Québecois coinage, "l'algol" (p. 1036), found in no dictionary or database.
